Aspen Gold

Autumn Splendor # 1

Autumn is by far my favorite time of year and unfortunately, due to illnesses running through our household this year, I missed it. And it missed me. Even here on the mountain, which is normally glorious, there was a dismal show of color. I imagine the foot of snow we received earlier in the season had something to do with the aspens simply going from green to brown.

But, thanks to the magic of photography, I have more than memories to go by.

Hi, Lisa! Welcome to blogging. I found you through Dianne's post.

This is a glorious photo! I too love autumn. Have never been able to decide which I like most - autumn or spring.

I'll be looking forward to more from you.

Thanks Bobbie, Nessa and Daryl for the warm welcome! Glad you enjoyed the photo. I took that photo right here on the mountain. :) I've been wanting to do a photo blog for a while but never had the time before now. I'm looking forward to visiting other blogs, too.

I love trees as well, Dianne. And while aspens are lovely, I miss those grand old Eastern maples, oaks and beeches sometimes. . . Oh, and two of us are feeling better but hubby is still down. :(

Bobbie, as far as autumn vs. spring. . . No contest here since we get the majority of our snowstorms in the spring. And they are often good ones--8 feet one year.

Thanks again everyone for stopping by!

Like the others, I'm here through Dianne's blog and I'm so glad to have found you! Gorgeous shot of the aspens! We have so much beauty here in Washington that it seems I spend most of my time, camera in hand.
Thanks for sharing the beauty and I look forward to visiting frequently!

Have a great weekend!

Thank you, Sylvia! And thanks for stopping by! I'm going to have to start paying Dianne commissions for sending folks this way. lol!

I've heard that Washington is beautiful, too. I took a quick look at your blog--you have some gorgeous photos! And you're doing something that I was planning on doing as well--putting quotes to the pics. :) That's the nice thing about the Internet, you get to visit great places without leaving your chair.

Thanks, Hilary! The ladybugs were neat but I'm hoping they were a once-in-a-lifetime event. :)

I took a quick look at the latest post on your blog--beautiful photos! I'll try to get back to explore a bit more later.
